Though I despise the current Administration's singular ability to combine ineptitude with evil policies, in a way I am glad. Try to imagine how many the horrors they could effectively wreak if they had successfully concealed the bungling at Abu Ghraib or Walter Reed Hospital, and managed at least a partially decent response to the hurricane victims. What kind of free hand would they then have? We might have already invaded Iran by this time. Junior's haplessness has actually saved our bacon.

Ein kostenloses aber auch nutzloses Ding werde ich dem schenken, der mir deutlich erklärken kann, warum das aus dem französischen herleitenden Wort "Politesse" -- im Englischen als "courtesy to women, chivalry, gallantry" verwendet -- auf Deutsch "meter maid" oder "parking enforcement" bedeutet? Was soll das heißen? Bin völlig verwirrt, nichts neues unter der Sonne. Das Schaf, der Schlaf, die Schlange, der Schritt, usw.

Yes, I am an ordinary male slob who guffaws at the Stooges, for all the usual mindless, dopey reasons. And as a fan, I have naturally encountered with complete bewilderment the near-universal hostility that women typically demonstrate against the Stooges. At the moment I haven't the time to engage in a lengthy analysis. It's just as well, because any such attempt probably wouldn't shed much light on the issue. But it appears that at least a few women are now breaking ranks. Have a gander {get it?} this remarkable Stoogettes video.
